Delilah was the first one into the Algebra classroom but it didn't take long to fill up after that. At the door she saw the girl from Shop, Rosalie, with the tall muscular dark haired boy she had seen with her in the hall. She gave him a quick kiss and left and he came into the room. Delilah glanced around the room only to realize the only empty seat was at the table she was at. She was struck by his smile and was sure that if she were still human she would have turned beet red when he smiled at her and said "Hey." as he sat down.
"Hey." She said back with a smile. She decided Rosalie was very lucky, but then again so was he, as she was the most beautiful vampire she had ever seen, and Delilah had seen a LOT of vamps in her years, and Rosalie even rivaled her mother, who was the most gorgeous she had known til now.
"Well everyone the syllabus has been emailed to you all so as to save paper and your assignment is to read it and then take a short quiz to prove that you read it which will all be online." The teacher said. Delilah marveled at the changes in schools that had taken place in the last couple of centuries. "With that being said we'll be able to dive right into our work today and not waste any time."
"Oh 'cause that will make this class SO much more enjoyable." Delilah said under her breath. While the math never changed neither did the lectures and it was at this moment she remembered that that was cause enough to have a renewed hatred for the subject even if she could ace a math class with her eyes closed.

"That's no shit." Emmett said in a whisper, agreeing with Delilah. He turned and smiled at her. He knew she was a vampire but was sure she was the one that Rosalie had had shop with that morning. He had also seen her in the hall while they were talking with Marguerite eavesdropping but she seemed friendly enough and well Emmett had never really been one to stress over such things.
"Let me take roll real quick and we'll get started." The teacher said, way too excited for Emmett's taste. "How could anyone be enthusiastic about Algebra?" Emmett wondered in a whisper.

Delilah smirked at Emmett's question. "Probably some rare disease of some sort." She replied in a low whisper. She realized how much fun this might be. Having other vamps in classes with her that she could talk without teachers or other students noticing, cause well humans weren't the most observant in the first place and had horrible senses compared to vamps. She smiled at the thought. Surprisingly for having been around vampires her entire life she had never gone to school with any of them. It was then that she felt her cell phone vibrate and she took it out of her pocket and hid it behind the desk. She was surprised that there weren't cell phone signal blockers at this school since so many had put them up so that students couldn't text during classes and such, but then again it was a smaller school and probably had an even smaller budget. She opened the message. Hi honey I hope you're having a wonderful first day Call me when you get out of classes. Love you lots, Mom The message made Delilah smile. Her mom was always so worried about her and wanted to make sure everything was going well. She was so sweet. She was already planning on calling her though, as it's not everyday you move it a town with two other covens of vampires. She quickly replied back. It's going great so far but I have a ton to tell you about. Love you too, tell Dad and Tabby I said hi & love them too! ;DAfter their teacher was done with role he started telling them about their first assignment. "A group project." He said, which was followed by a collective groan of the students. "It's not often that there are group projects in an Algebra class but you and your group will be building a house from the ground up during the semester. You will have to research costs and then make a blue print of your house as well. I will hand each group a packet and within that packet will be an amount of money. Any money you will need beyond that will have to be taken out in a loan." He explained as he practically bounced around the room in excitement.

Emmett smiled at Delilah's response. She was pretty friendly and he was convinced she wasn't a threat.
The teacher continued to bounce around with excitement as he explained the project. "I will be choosing the groups and well I hope you like who you're sitting with." He said with a smile. "These are not only your assigned seats," a group in the back groaned, "but your table mates are also your partners for this project." He said as he began to pass out the packets.
Emmett slid the packet between the two of them so they could check it out. "Well this should be pretty easy." He said with a smile. "$100,000? Wow we're gonna need one hell of a loan, I'm not sure that will cover the cost of much of anything these days."

"That's no kidding!" Delilah said looking at the amount they had. "This should still be pretty easy though. I've done something similar before."
"I'm going to give you today to look for land and it must be an actual piece of land for sale and none of you can choose the same land so it's first come first serve." The teacher said with a grin. "That's what makes this truly interesting after all, as the majority of calculations you'll need are pretty basic. You can go to the computer lab if you need to to get to the newspaper's classifieds since the school won't allow me to order paper versions of newspapers anymore." He said with an eye roll.
Delilah pulled a mini laptop out of her purse and flipped it open. "To hell with the computer lab. This will be much faster anyway." She said with a big grin. She pulled up google and typed quickly to search for any land for sale. They quickly found something and flagged down their teacher.
"Anyone spoken for this land yet sir?" Delilah asked politely.
"No and looks like you two found a heck of a deal there." He said looking a bit amazed.
"Just need to know what to type in a search to get what you really want sir." She said smiling. It was obvious her gorgeous smile mesmerized the teacher for a moment or two, then he snapped out of it. "I'll go write that down for you Mr. Cullen and Miss O'Malley." He said quickly before turning on his heels and hurrying off to his desk.

Emmett smiled at how quickly they had gotten done with the first order of business. They turned the pages in their packet to the page they were supposed to use to keep track of their money and jotted down the amount they had spent. Then he glanced up at the clock.
"Nice, only a few minutes left." He said leaning back into his chair.

Delilah glanced at the clock.
"Yeah there is. Finally. Thought this class was going to last the rest of the day. What's your next class?" She asked hopeful that they had another class together all until she remembered the girl from shop had walked him to class and kissed him just before she left. Damn she thought. I had forgotten about that part. She grabbed her mini laptop and closed it and shoved it into her purse, trying not to show her disappointment.

"Anatomy." Emmett said, not showing emotion with it. It was one of those subjects he didn't care about either way really. He noticed a slight change of emotion from her. "What about you?" He asked wondering why she suddenly looked a little bummed out. "Next class that bad?"

"Oh no that's not it. I actually kind of enjoy English, I was just thinking about something else." Delilah said quickly. Nice D, that was a great save She thought to herself. I'm such a dope.
She thought about it for a moment and decided that it would be cool if they were just friends and that really it was probably better that way. "Mind if I walk with you? I think our classes are right next to each other." She asked, expecting him to turn her down.

"Sure." Emmett replied. He had to walk that way anyway and it was close enough to the French and Spanish rooms the others would probably stay in that area and wait for him, Rensemee and Jacob. He looked at Delilah and she looked surprised at his answer.
The bell rang and they started out the room towards their next classes into the hall that was a sea of people and it seemed as though they were the only ones heading down to the other end of the hall but it wasn't hard to get through anyway though, as when students saw Emmett they tended to get out of his way on their own.

Delilah was surprised at his answer but took it as a sign of politeness. As they started down the hall to their classes it made her giggle to watch the sea of students split before him. Then her phone went off. She grabbed it out of her pocket and checked it. It was just a text, but it made anger surge through her.
Delilah dear, why haven't you been answering my calls and texts? I know you didn't mean what you said so please call me...
With the surge of anger she gripped her phone tightly, which was proved to be too tightly when there was a little crack and when she looked down the screen was dark.
"Shit." She said aloud at the sight of her now dead phone. She would've tried the power button but she was sure it was dead as it wasn't the first time this week she had done it.

Emmett looked down at Delilah in surprise at the sound of the crack of her phone.
"That good huh?" He said with an ornery grin. "You know those come equipped with off buttons these days right?"

Delilah smirked at Emmett. "Oh damn, I always forget that." She said sarcastically before rolling her eyes. "You should have reminded me about that before I ended up breaking the third phone this week." She said frowning and dropping it before opening the sim card port pulling it out and tossing the phone into the trashcan they were passing by. She pulled another, same as the first out of her purse and stuck the card in it. "Guess I'll activate this one in my next class."

"Third this week?!" Emmett asked, surprised when he remembered it was only Monday so she had broken them yesterday and today. "What's caused you to break so many phones in just two days?"
He looked down at her, wondering what could possibly be that irritating to just keep breaking phones. "It would probably be cheaper just to pay to have your number changed ya know?" He said as he could see his wife at the end of the hall waiting for him as he towered over the majority of the student population around them.

"I'm sure you're right. It would be a lot cheaper, but it would be the second time this month I had changed my number. but he just keeps getting it." Delilah state quickly. "He's such an ass." She said irritation getting thicker in her voice. "I've tried telling him off, telling him it wasn't my number, just about anything I can think of, but I've had no luck whatsoever." She said, defeated. "He's the dumbest guy I have EVER met and I've met a LOT." Her mind quickly ran through the latest string of guys her grandfather had tried to set her up with, just in the past 5 years.
~First there was James, he was gorgeous, older and well off, and had the biggest ego of anyone she had ever encountered. ~Then there was Artie, who was probably the smartest vampire she had ever met and ugliest. Before him she wasn't sure an ugly vamp existed, and they did. ~Third was Charles who was smart, gorgeous and thoughtful and turned out to be a polygamist. ~Next was John, he was gorgeous, funny and totally cocky about it. ~Fifth was William, who was gorgeous, smart, funny, romantic and so grown up though he appeared to be 17 he acted like he was frozen at 73. ~Sixth was Rob, who hated everything Delilah loved. ~This latest was the most irritating of all. Jason was gorgeous, about the same age as Delilah, and liked everything she was into to a fault. He worshipped the very ground she walked on and put her on a pedestal which turned out to be more irritating (and creepy) than she had ever guessed and he freaked when she said she was leaving. He had called and texted more times than she could count and probably would have come straight to Forks had she and her family wouldn't kept her location from him and her grandfather (who would have told him in a heartbeat). She started to squeeze on her phone again in anger but quickly caught herself.
"Well this is my class." She said stopping at a door in the hall. "Guess I'll see you around?" She said with a forced smile since she had reminded herself of her miserable guy luck from the last few years and it had made her completely and totally miserable.

Emmett noticed a change in Delilah's attitude but she was walking into her class before he would have even had a chance to say anything about it, so he called after her "Yeah, see ya." He turned puzzled and looked down the hall to see his wife smiling at him, waiting in front of their next class and he couldn't help but smile. He was so glad the day was almost over.
