Rose was one of the first to Shop, which was weird considering Emmett was in a playful mood and she could barely tear herself away from him as a result.
We just might have to skip a class or two this afternoon. She thought, grinning.
She took a seat to wait for Jasper and Delilah to join her for their first class of the day and began to figure out which classes she and Emmett were going to sneak away from.

Delilah headed into the shop and found a seat next to Rosalie. She sighed as she sat down. She was beginning to wonder if the move to Forks was the right one. She was feeling like she had cabin fever in the small town after only a week. She felt like she couldn't breathe, though it wasn't a necessary function anymore the feeling of someone sitting on her chest was hard to shake.
"What would you and Emmett think about hitting a movie this weekend? And anyone else would be welcome to join of course but I have got to get out of the house. My parents are driving me insane."

Jasper entered the room and quickly took a seat near Rosalie and Delilah, still a bit tired from staying up on the roof with Alice after they had returned from the O'Malley's house. Alice had been even more curious to see if any visions would come after their meeting with the new family and had rushed out their bedroom window before Jasper could persuade her otherwise. "Good morning, Delilah, Rosalie. I trust you both had a good evening."

"Hey Jazz." Rosalie smiled. "Alice keep you busy on the roof last night?" She winked. "D was just wondering if we'd want to go to a movie or something this weekend. Think you and Alice would be up for that?" She looked back to Delilah. "I know Emm and I are up for it."

Jasper sighed and glanced away. "Sort of... She's still having some problems with her--" Jasper stopped himself and glanced at Delilah, and then rethought his statement, since the O'Malley family still did not know about their abilities. "...Problems with being cooped up in the house all the time. She likes being on the roof because it's open air, and it is the highest location on the house." Jasper looked at Rosalie with a serious look in his eyes, hoping she would understand.

It wasn't Wes' best idea to talk that old man in front of the liquor store into buyin him a twelve pack last night, but he had made it and he needed to take the edge off.
Hopefully this shop class is gonna be as easy as I think it's gonna be, think I'm gonna need a few extra hours to recoup from time to time.
As he walked in the door gripping his coffee cup for dear life, he seen that class was almost ready to begin. Wes made a bee line to the instructors desk left the note from the cougar they called a secretary at the principals office, and looked for a place to sit.
Now is not the time for first impressions.
He could swear that he could still smell and taste every bottle of beer in his mouth!
Lord have mercy on me!
He found a seat kind of away from the crowd, and thanked god he hadn't used all his luck last night.
Now if I can make it through this without fallin' asleep ill be doin' good.

Delilah looked at Jasper and realized he was hinting at something that was none of her business. "Well movies would be a perfect way to get out but I'd totally understand if you're not interested." She smiled.
When Wes came in Delilah couldn't help but turn to see who it was. She watched him walk back and grab a seat away from everyone before she realized she had been staring. She turned back around quickly to look at Rose and Jasper and thanked her lucky stars she couldn't blush anymore. And before she knew it she was back to looking in his direction.

Man it feels good to take a load off for a minute, maybe I'm still a little tipsey....
Wes couldn't decide if the relief in sitting down at that moment was from his body sending up warning flairs saying it was close to exhaustion, or the the relief to not be sticking out like a sore thumb. This all was a new experience to him. He had gone to school with the same people he had known all his life. And the tv always portrayed it as a persons first day as being on the fringe of embarrassing.
Man I must still be drunk, cause either everyone stared at me and I didn't notice, or I really don't care if they did or not.
Wes' arms and legs invited the temporary relief. It was a bad idea to dig into the destination side of his move as soon as he had arrived. Well as much as he could do by himself. His mind was preoccupied with all the emotions and questions he had as to what had been revealed to him in the last couple of months, and just wanted to get away from everything as soon as possible. He wanted it so bad that he hadn't planned on how he was gonna unload the larger items he had decided to bring with him.
At least I was able to handle getting the mattress inside myself..... Hate to know what was on that carpet.... Guess I coulda just emptied out the back seat of the truck and slept there...
As he kept rehashing last nights happenings, and pondering how he was going to finish the job, he began to feel like there were eyes upon him. He pushed the feeling back, attributing it to paranoia, rather then fact. So enthralled by his thoughts that he hadn't noticed the blonds inability to keep her eyes from him.
If I was back home, the boys and some girls woulda shown up right after school to help him out with unpacking. Then we woulda had some fun!
He missed home, but not as much as he had thought he would have. Mostly he was excited for his new start and life.
My car should be here by the end of the week, hopefully it shows up soon, this walkin to school every day is gonna get me killed..... Or at the very least a cold.
He chuckled quietly to himself, thinking that he was the only audience to his humor. Then he notice the group that had been chatting when he entered had stopped chatting and were lookin at him wonderin what the chuckle had been about.
Wow, how pale is pale? The sun really must never shine here! Then he noticed the blond kept her eyes on him, even after the others had continued their conversation.

Rosalie nodded to Jasper, letting him know she understood. She hoped things would get better for Alice soon. She hated to see any of her family worried and suffering.
Rose smirked, watching Delilah blatantly stare at the new kid. She struggled to contain her giggles and looked to Jasper to see if he noticed before glancing back at D and tapping her with the toe of her new favorite high heels.

Delilah turned to Rosalie, giving her a WTF look about the tapping on her leg. Seeing the smirk on Rosalie's face she realized she had been caught. "Ummm so yeah... movies." She said, now trying not to laugh at herself.
She was forcing herself to look at the front of the room when their teacher started talking about the safety test that was going to be that Wednesday, though it wasn't long before her mind began to wander away from the review of everything they had discussed the week before into a daydream.

Wow.
That's all that he could think as he looked the blond in the eyes. Her eyes in the matter of seconds had revitalized him. The whole world seemed to melt away and all he could think was.... Wow.
Then she broke the glance, looked away and continued her discussion with her friends. But still the buzz flowing through him continued.
Wow.
Then the teacher cleared his throat and began to talk....
SHIT!
The feeling went away, and the world came back. As the teacher began talkin about a safety something or another..... Who cared! He hated hangovers at school! Trying to clear his mind so he could try to follow what he had missed so far, he caught his eyes finding their way back to the blond....
Its gonna be a long day.

Rosalie shook her head at Delilah, knowing well what Delilah was doing. She was sure she was doing the same as she had when she first met Emmett. Suddenly Rose felt much better. Yeah, she knew Delilah like Emmett but since they had gotten to know each other she also knew that there was nothing D would ever do to try to break them up but the fact that she was distracted, even if just temporarily, was a bit of a relief.
Rose glanced back to see that the new guy was doing some staring of his own.

Delilah snapped herself out of her daydream, wondering what the hell she was thinking. She hadn't even met the guy. She took an unnecessary deep breath. But she couldn't help but hope she had a reason to bump into him or talk to him in the very near future.
I am so pathetic. She thought, barely shaking her head in disbelief before turning to look at Rosalie and that smirk she had on her face. She couldn't help but smile back at her and shake her head. She knew when she had been caught red handed.

Jasper sighed at the mention of the safety test on Wednesday and stared at the wall behind the teacher to make it seem as if he were paying attention. He glanced back at the new kid after suddenly intercepting the feelings of exhaustion and queasiness coming from him. Jasper chuckled inwardly at this and looked back to the front of the room.

Delilah couldn't have told anyone what they went over in Shop. She was too busy trying to concentrate on other things so she wouldn't get caught staring again. By the victim or Rosalie, who seemed to be enjoying this a little too much. She was ready for the bell to ring though since she knew her last class would be easy. Choir always was. Singing was calming. It made sense.
Staring at this human did not make sense. Yeah he was good looking, no he was hot, but there was no reason she could find of why she struggled to keep her eyes off him. For the first time in her life as a vampire she wished he was human. Then he wouldn't be off-limits. She could approach him, strike up a nervous conversation as normal high school kids would with a crush.
She glanced at the clock on the wall and damn-near jumped out of her seat when she realized class was finally over.
And when the bell rang to signal the end of class, she barely made time to nod and say "Later." to Jasper and Rose before she headed out of the room, in a hurry to get to her next class and to make a little sense of her world.

Rose headed out after Delilah, but was still a behind her a ways. She felt bad for Delilah, knowing that her interest in the new kid was frustrating in a myriad of ways but she was also relieved. She knew Delilah liked Emmett but also knew that Delilah would never do anything about it. She would rather suffer silently than ever destroy someone else's happiness. Delilah had hinted at having been burned herself, but never gave details to her or Emmett.
As she neared the new kid she was tempted to say something until it occurred to her that she had no idea what she would even say. Instead she watched him as she came closer searching him for an inkling as to what he was thinking about Delilah.

Wes expected a rough first day. The hangover? He was used to those. The odd looks and stares from strangers? Totally expected. The part that came from left field, was her.
When he walked in the room, his eyes auto locked on her. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't keep from her. It was like she was the south pole of a magnet and he was the north. Part of Wes was excited for the rest of the day. Wanted to know all there was about this new fixation of his.
The other part was lighting warning flares, and putting up caution tape. For one thing he was in no shape to be making first impressions. Easing into a new place was going to take more time then he was wanting to take before nosing around to learn all he could about this fascinating woman. And the last thing he wanted to do was come off creepy. Second, he needed to keep his head clear, and his nose clean. He knew his grandparents weren't done trying to take what wasn't theirs. And a lot more then just him depended on Wes' handling of the situation. There were a lot of people depending on him and he can't let them down over a sweaty romp in the back seat of his car. No matter how incredibly hot and steamy it would be.
He couldn't help but look her up and down drinking in the beauty before him. It was like he was in heaven, and he was looking at an angel. Then out of no where, the bell rang signaling the end of the class. Like a flash he saw the blonde, get up and rush for the door. He also noticed her glance at him as she came closer. Their eyes met, if only for a second, and then broke.
As she walked past him, it was like all his senses were supercharged, and he felt awakened. He felt her warmth. He smelled her scent. She smelt like his mothers flower garden on a warm summer day. He held his breath as she kept walking by and out the door. Not wanting to let that small bit of her get away from him as well. But found that he must, her friends were walking towards him as well, they too were observing what was going on, and he felt they were looking for any little indicator that something was going on.
When Wes let himself draw another breath it was as if everything went back to normal. Just another long, hungover morning on the books for him. Wes picked up his books, stood up, and moved towards the door, following the blonde's friends out of class. This was going to be a long morning indeed!

Alice quickly made her way to Jasper's first classroom, almost running into Delilah as she rounded a corner near the room. Just as she was about to call out to her, Rosalie rounded the corner and followed Delilah down the hall. Alice tilted her head slightly in wonder until Jasper touched her shoulder. She turned around and put on a smile for him as she hugged him. "How was shop?"

Jasper had followed Rosalie out the door, noticing the new kid following them. He found Alice facing away from him with her head tilted slightly, looking confused, and touched her shoulder. He knew her smile was not genuine, but pushed it aside and hugged her to him. "Shop was... interesting. How was history?"

Alice began walking with Jasper, following Rosalie down the hall, and shook her head. "Not quite the way it was taught before. They're starting with Germany, then we'll move into France, then Spain. Usually it's the other way around. Although I do prefer Germany's history over Spain, it just seems a little out of order right now...." Alice trailed off, noticing a presence behind Jasper, but made an effort to not seem obvious as she glanced behind her at a tall boy who looked intense on finding someone. She glanced up at Jasper curiously as they continued walking.
