Rosalie and Emmett were on the couch watching a movie, waiting for the rest of the family to get home and let them in on what happened at the meeting. It was irritating to be left out of it, but they also understood that it was better to have just a few of the Cullens at the first meeting.

"You think the meeting is going well?" Renesmee asked as she and Jacob lay on their bed in their room, gazing out the large window in their room.
"Probably." Jacob said shortly. He was still quite irritated about not being able to go.
"Are you still upset about that?" Renesmee asked as she turned to him. "It's one meeting and I'm sure from now on we'll all be involved in the meetings."
"I guess."
She rolled over to face him. "Jacob please." She pleaded. She hated when he was like this.
"Sorry I know this isn't the pack and I'm not the one in charge, but I'm so used to being in charge with the pack I feel powerless when I'm not in on things like this."
She kissed him softly. "This help you keep your mind off of it?" She asked with a smirk.
"Maybe." He grinned back, mischievously.
She kissed him again, this time passionately. "How about that?"
He answered by kissing her back, running his fingers through her soft auburn hair, when they heard the door downstairs open, signaling that the rest of the family was back from their meeting. The both sighed at the inconvenience of the interruption but also glad that they would find out what had happened with the Cullens first meeting with the Reineqs and they headed downstairs.

Carlisle looked to Edward as they entered the house through the garage.
"Edward, would you mind getting everyone into the living room to discuss this new turn of events, please?"
He then turned to the others and nodded toward the living room, but paused to look at Alice briefly.
"Be mindful in watching the Reineqs, and Les Redevances, Alice. We don't want to alert them to our decisions prematurely. I will wait here for Esme."
Alice nodded at Carlisle and headed into the living room, holding Jasper's hand firmly but gently. Once in the living room, Alice let go of Jasper's hand and picked a place near the couches, but near the window as well. She wanted to be able to look out into nothingness to help her visions occur much more easily.

Edward and Bella went to the living room and Bella took a seat on the love seat. Edward noticed the only ones missing other than Esme were Renesmee and Jacob and went upstairs to get them. He met them at the door of their room.
"We're meeting in the living room about what we talked about with the Reineqs." Edward said. "And there's a lot to talk about." He said quickly before he turned and headed back down the stairs. He was definitely stressed about the situation at hand and there was no way to hide it.

Renesmee was concerned by the tone in her father's voice. She reached out and grabbed his shoulder as they were walking down the stairs.
"Daddy? Is everything okay?" She asked.

Edward stopped on the stairs and turned to his daughter. He knew he wouldn't be able to hide his worries about it all from his daughter. She normally tried to stay out of others' heads but when it came to something that had her worried, concerned those she loved, and she thought others were sugar coating things she wouldn't hesitate.
"Yes, everything is fine but there is just a possibility that something or rather someone that may interrupt that." He admitted to his daughter before he could stop himself. "We need to go discuss it as a family though."

When Renesmee stopped Edward on the stairs Jacob slipped past to head downstairs ahead of them, knowing Renesmee was wanting to talk to Edward alone.
"I understand Daddy." She smiled before hugging him tightly. She knew it would work out alright. If they could handle what happened just after she was born, she was sure they, as a family, could handle anything.

Rosalie shot Emmett a look of worry and confusion as everyone came in looking so solemn and how Alice went straight to the window. She knew why she sat near the window, but she wondered who she was needing to see so clearly. Emmett squeezed Rosalie's hand comfortingly and pulled her closer to him. She leaned into Emmett and already felt much better and she knew that no matter what was going on as long as she had him that was all she would need.

Upon entering the living room with Esme, Carlisle glanced around to make sure everyone was present.
"Alright everyone, please sit down somewhere. This will be a lengthy discussion."
Carlisle ushered Esme over to a single chair and sat down next to her.
He glanced at Alice briefly before beginning the explanation.
Alice shook her head at Carlisle.
"Nothing yet."
Carlisle nodded and faced the family and began to explain the situation in detail of the Reineqs and the Les Redevances. After explaining everything, he looked to everyone again.
"So, we just need to know if anyone does not want to be involved in this. I know that I will support the Reineqs to preserve the life we have here. But, like myself, you all have the choice to be involved or not."

Emmett didn't even take a second to think about it. "Well you know I'm in." He said. He was never one to be left out of a good brawl. He looked to Rose.
"And I'm in." She said, squeezing Emmett's hand. She knew where ever Emmett was that that was where she belonged so she didn't have to think about it.

"I'm in." Renesmee blurted out next. She couldn't help but feel like this was a bit her fault since she was the reason the Volturi had come to Forks and why, if Les Redevances were to come for the Reineqs, they would try to make an example of her family.
"I'm in." Jacob said just after Renesmee. He wasn't about to let his wife come in harms way, as theoretical at this point as the fight may be. He refused her to do it without him to protect her.

"And obviously I'm in since I'm already watching." Alice blurted from the windowsill.
Carlisle nodded as his family began to agree with his choice. He then looked to Esme. She nodded at his inquiring look. "You know I'm with you in whatever you choose to do, Carlisle." Carlisle smiled and then looked to Edward, Bella, and Jasper.

Edward put his hand on Renesmee's shoulder. He didn't want her to be thinking any of this was her fault. It was a misunderstanding that created that confrontation, not Renesmee's existence. He took her hand so she could hear him. "Nessie none of this was your fault the first time and it sure isn't if something happens with Les Redevances."
At the same time Edward and Bella answered. "We're in." They had made their decision back in the field. It was unlikely that Les Redevances would come but if they did come for the Reineqs there was a good chance it would end up involving them whether they stood behind the Reineqs or not.

Alice shook her head and whispered back.
"No, nothing yet....but I'm watching very closely."
Carlisle nodded again when the others gave their answers.
"Good to know we have the entire family in on this, just in case something does happen. But, at least for now, we can all relax a bit until we hear back from the Reineqs."
Carlisle then looked over to Alice.
"Alice, if and when you see anything, let me or Edward know, and we'll all regroup here in the living room. But try to not overdo it, alright? Do take frequent breaks."
Alice nodded at Carlisle and looked back out the window.

Renesmee was cheerful the next morning, excited for another day of school and meeting new people. She loved meeting new people and was quite the social butterfly. She cheerfully bounced around the house. She tried to keep her distance from Alice though, knowing that she was working hard to keep an eye out for potential threats. Renesmee wasn't worried though, she didn't see the point in worrying about something so hypothetical.
Jake looked up from his overflowing plate of food when she sat across from him at the table, smiling brightly with her own plate of food. He grinned and shook his head.
"What?" She asked, eying him suspiciously.
"You. How you can enjoy repeating all of this over and over again." He loved Renesmee so much and she was the only reason he put up with all of this. He was ready for them to spend some time on their own for a while again. It had been long enough since they lived on their own in his opinion.
"It's not so much the school part that I enjoy, it's meeting new people. It's fascinating." Renesmee said excitedly. "Even in a town this small there are so many different kinds of people and all with different experiences." She smiled brightly.

"That's our little Renesmee."
Carlisle ruffled Renesmee's hair as he passed through the kitchen on his way out to the garage.
"Have a good day, you two. I'll be home at the same time tonight."
Alice, having not moved from the window all night, finally turned her head as Carlisle ruffled Renesmee's hair.
"Carlisle, all I've seen so far is that Les Redevances has not made any plans to come here, at least not yet."
Carlisle nodded at Alice and smiled.
"Alright, that is good news so far. But try to enjoy your day at school, Alice."
