Jasper grabbed Alice's hand to try to help her calm down. He could feel the frustration radiating from her and knew if she didn't calm down, it would drive her, as well as the rest of the family, crazy. He looked down at her with a soft expression and asked a question he already knew the answer to.
"Do we need to go home Alice?"

Alice looked up at Jasper with pleading eyes even though she knew he already knew her answer.
"I know that this will distract me from anything the rest of the day. I would like to assume it would be better if I did not let this affect anyone else, and went home. I also don't want to alarm anyone by having the entire family come home with me... It might cause the students here to suspect something..."
She couldn't think of any excuse for the administration that would cause the entire family to go home in the middle of a school day and looked at Edward for his opinion.

"If you two need to go home then go." Edward forced a smile. "I think everyone else is too busy watching the soap opera play out to even notice anyway." He looked to the rest of the family who were all watching Delilah. "Plus some time away from those blocking things might help." He spoke quietly though the rest of the family was too busy talking amongst themselves to even hear them.

Alice gave Edward a genuine smile, thankful that even though they weren't blood related, she still valued him as such.
"I shall pass on the information that you and the rest of the family will be home at the usual time to Esme and Carlisle. I am sorry to have to do this to you and the family, though."
Alice stood up slowly so as to not attract attention and, taking Jasper's arm, made her way through the lunchroom and to the front office.

Jasper held the door to the office open for Alice, and then quickly followed her in. As they reached the desk, he smiled at the secretary.
"I am sorry to interrupt you, but Alice is not feeling very well. I wonder if it would be possible for me to take her home?"
The secretary took a look at Alice and nodded.
"Absolutely. I shall notify your teachers so they know and won't count you purposely absent. I hope you feel better, Ms Cullen."
Jasper bowed his head in respect to the secretary and thanked her as he led Alice out of the office and into the parking lot.
"We'll have to go on foot since we came with the others. Shall we go to Esme first, or Carlisle?"

"We'll go straight to Carlisle. I don't think this can wait any longer."
They waited until no one was around or watching them, and then ran at high speed through the forest just outside the school toward Carlisle's hospital.
